Garcia leads Stony Brook over New Hampshire 66-64 | |
DURHAM, N.H. (AP) Andrew Garcia had 15 points and 10 rebounds off the bench to lift Stony Brook to a 66-64 win over New Hampshire on Saturday. Garcia made two free throws to give Stony Brook a 65-62 lead with 1:11 remaining. Later, Jaron Cornish made on free throw and the Seawolves led 66-62. UNH's Chris Lester made a layup to cut it to 66-64 with 8 seconds left, Cornish missed two free throws and Jordan Reed missed a 3-pointer that would have given New Hampshire the win. Akwasi Yeboah had 15 points for Stony Brook (21-5, 9-2 America East Conference), which earned its fourth straight victory. Jules Moor added 10 points.
